Memorize: And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. Genesis 41:16 KJV

Read: Genesis 41:15-16

Pride and the manipulations of the flesh will make you arrogate to yourself the glory that belongs to God. This foolish act is becoming so rampant in our age and time and it appears we are not cautious about it at all. There’s no good thing about us except by the grace and mercy of the Lord. You can’t afford to lay claim to anything because there’s nothing you have received except those that were given you by the Lord. Therefore. let your speech and actions show to all that God is the power working in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Joseph from our text today honored the Lord before Pharaoh. He made it plain as he has spoken in the prison two years before to the Butler and the Baker that interpretation of dreams belong to God. “Have you considered how pride is making you feel big instead of praising God so big”. If it’s not for the breath of the Almighty in your nostrils you won’t even live to speak talk less of boasting proudly. You must learn to live humbly so that God can pronounce on you the blessings due. I’m sure the church in our age can truly do greater works if our ministers will learn to give all the glory to God. Avoid pride, avoid early destruction. Don’t let the devil waste your testimonies and blessings. Let all the glory about your life, family, business, career and especially the manifestations in your ministry be to God and God alone. Then the true blessings of the Lord will be poured down beyond measures.

Reflections: What can people deduce from your life and speeches? Are you are praise to the name of the Lord or you have allowed self and pride to take you over? Repent and return all the glory to God and it shall be well with you.
