Memorize: But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. Acts 6:4 KJV

Read: Acts 6:3-4

The Word of God and prayer are not mere spiritual exercises but godly essentials that you need if you will be profitable in God and on your assignment in His kingdom. These engagements characterized the lives of Jesus and His apostles, little wonder their effectiveness and mind blowing results. I don’t know how far you can go without continual engagement in the word of God and fervency in ceaseless prayer and fasting.

Our generation is lagging behind and you know it. I mean you are fully aware that we are no longer connecting in prayers neither are we students of the Bible. The end time push and rush has so much encroached our christian ethics, eroding faith and our precious values. Consider and examine your own life this morning; if this was the way the things of God were handled by our fathers in the faith, would we have testimonies today. If we continue in this spiritual laziness and slothfulness, it simply means we would end up endangering the faith and lives of our upcoming generations. Get back to the basics, lock yourself up and re-enacts a valuable relation with God through prayers and the ministry of the word. This is the only gateway to righteousness and the working of miracles. The Church is not for noise but good news. We are not called to spiritual gymnastics but to set the captives free. I pray you’ll begin to do the needful from today.

Pray with me: Father, I’m tired of this lazy spiritual life I’m living. Wake me up and teach me to pray and to study your word. Make me effective in your service and in your redemptive programme for this end time. Let me begin to live a meaningful and impactful Christian life from today.
